a skeleton rattles inside your tongue,
the twin you swallowed in the womb.
your tongue pierces mine
and the skeleton steals my veins,
tangling itself in a mess of wires.
it peels away the muscles like rose petals,
and it cloaks itself in them. 'now
we can be triplets.'
